Key Tax Senior Specialist RoleWe are seeking a highly motivated Tax Senior Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will have strong experience in Brazilian tax legislation and be able to support our tax operations during a temporary assignment.This role is key to ensuring compliance, reviewing internal controls, and collaborating with large cross-functional teams.Your main responsibilities as Tax Senior Specialist will be:
  • Review periodic tax filings (municipal, state, and federal)
  • Review monthly internal audit controls
  • Support monthly tax closing processes
  • Support quarterly closing for the preparation of the tax package to headquarters
  • Analyze and apply current Brazilian tax regulations
  • Stay up to date and provide guidance on Brazil's ongoing tax reform
  • Identify opportunities for tax optimization
  • Manage tax audits and reviews
  • Prepare tax reports and summaries for management
  • Coordinate with external advisors and tax authorities
  • Collaborate with large and diverse teams

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting Finance or related field
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in tax in Brazil
  • Fluent English spoken and written is required Spanish is a plus
  • Advanced knowledge of Brazilian tax legislation
  • Strong understanding of Brazil's tax reform
  • Proficiency in accounting software and digital tools
  • Experience with Linx system is a plus
  • Experience in the retail sector is appreciated but not mandatory
