Human Resources Supervisor Role

As a Human Resources leader, you will play a crucial role in executing recruitment and selection processes, employee relations, work life balance improvement projects, partner morale maximization, wage and benefit changes, safety enhancements, training and development, labor/union relations, policy administration, and regulatory compliance related to employment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Recruit, hire, and onboard new employees.
  • Represent Human Resources in cross-functional plant projects to ensure operational needs are met.
  • Administer policies and make recommendations for procedural or policy improvement opportunities.
  • Manage employee performance.
  • Partner with employees to build strong relationships.
  • Administer internal job transfers through all internal systems and local regulations.
  • Develop and execute partner training programs.
  • Improve HR processes.
  • Collaborate with the HR leadership team to lead employees and effectively communicate with Operations and Commercial teams.
  • Work with the HR Team Leader to implement staffing and workforce planning initiatives.
  • Communicate HR policies, compensation, benefits, and other HR initiatives to employees.
  • Collaborate with HR and Operations leadership teams to improve standard policies, processes, and the overall employee experience.
  • Maintain employee and position information in HR Systems, including Workday.
  • Stay up-to-date on local regulatory and compliance changes and communicate them to leadership.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years of experience in human resources is preferred.
  • Labor relations experience is a plus.
  • Technical expertise in human resources practices and procedures.
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate effectively, and deliver presentations in an engaging manner.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a larger team.
  • Demonstrated ability to service customers.
  • Problem-solving skills.
  • Well-developed analytical skills.
  • Forward thinking.
  • Ability to evaluate the financial impact of various HR & labor practices.
  • Ability to navigate Microsoft Office and aptitude to become an expert in Workday and other internal software systems.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of local labor laws and regulations.
