Job Opportunity: Protection Specialist
Job DescriptionThe Loss Prevention role plays a vital part in safeguarding the security of operations. This position requires detail-oriented professionals who can protect people, products, and data efficiently.
Main responsibilities include conducting confidential investigations, identifying vulnerabilities, and defining mitigation strategies while ensuring compliance with legal and ethical standards.
The Loss Prevention Specialist must also ensure internal controls are fulfilled, drive process improvements using Lean and Six Sigma methods, and develop strategies for alarm reduction.
In addition, serving as a point of contact for local management and external teams on all security-related matters, ensuring compliance with global security standards, and traveling up to 25% for training and other purposes is required.
A Day in the LifeAs a Protection Specialist, you will join a team delivering security services to business customers across multiple business units within a dedicated geographical area.
Perform regular physical security audits, investigate policy violations, security-related incidents, and loss events. Collect information by monitoring systems and tools, analyzing data reports, and conducting interviews to identify vulnerabilities in processes.
Required Skills and Qualifications- Bachelor degree or equivalent diploma;
- Intermediate English skills;
- Relevant experience in security services, asset protection, audit, risk management, inventory control, quality assurance, or other related field;
- Proficient with MS Office Professional Suite, to include intermediate knowledge of Excel;
Additionally, preferred qualifications include:
- Experience in companies with logistics operations, industry, manufacturing environments, and interaction with different stakeholders;
- Familiarity with Lean Six Sigma concepts; certification is desired;
- Knowledge of data handling for decision-making and experience using databases (querying and analysis), such as SQL, MySQL, Access, and exception-based reporting and AI tools;
- Experience in warehouse and distribution center or logistics operations;
