We’re seeking a **people-first Engineering Manager** to lead a team of ~13 engineers in 2 offices, working on our critical back-office systems. This is a leadership role focused on building and sustaining a **high-performance, high-trust culture** where engineers thrive, deliver outstanding results, and grow both professionally and personally.

**Key Responsibilities**:
- ** Promote High Performance & Culture**
- Build and maintain a **culture of excellence** and strong accountability.
- Set clear expectations, create alignment, and ensure every team member understands their impact.
- Lead with empathy and authenticity—supporting everyone's growth while driving collective success.
- **People Development & Leadership**
- Coach, mentor, and support ~13 engineers through regular 1:1s, performance feedback, and career pathing.
- Celebrate wins, address challenges early, and ensure continuous learning is a team habit.
- Drive team engagement, inclusion, and retention by creating an environment where people love to work.
- **Delivery & Execution**
- Ensure the team delivers high-quality, reliable software that powers business-critical back-office operations.
- Collaborate closely with Product, QA, and Operations to align priorities and deliverables.
- Help unblock the team, remove friction, and refine delivery processes for predictable, sustainable output in alignment with OKRs and planning done across all teams and all offices
- **Team Operations & Growth**
- Take ownership of team structure, hiring plans, and onboarding to support scaling.
- Champion process improvements and data-driven decision-making while maintaining a human-first approach.
- Monitor key team health metrics (engagement, throughput, quality) and take action to optimize them.
**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- ** 5+ years** of engineering leadership experience with a proven ability to lead **high-performing teams** of 10 or more.
- Exceptional **people management and communication skills**—you lead with empathy, clarity, and confidence.
- Track record of creating **team cultures that are energized, focused, and accountable**.
- Deep understanding of how to balance **business goals, team health, and technical delivery** in complex environments.
- Experience working closely with cross-functional partners and navigating ambiguity with poise.
- Comfortable leading within an Agile, fast-moving, and results-oriented organization.
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- Experience in back-office platforms, operations tooling, or regulated environments.
- Familiarity with metrics and tools for team effectiveness, OKRs, or performance management frameworks.
- Previous work in scaling teams, change management, or organizational development.
