We are looking for a Category Buyer to join our team.

Based in Sorocaba, Brazil, reporting to the Head of Raw Material Purchasing Latam, will be responsible to _develop and implement sourcing strategies that shall assure the best total value for the raw materials categories of Prysmian _LATAM _. The buyer needs to have minimum of 2 years of experience as Senior _Category _Buyer _leading negotiations with Global Suppliers _and participate with Supply Chain, R&D, Manufacturing, Finance and Quality to identify supply chain opportunities_._

Will focus on the following activities:

- _ R_esponsib_le _to _consolidate regional volume demand_, negotiate favorable terms and conditions with suppliers to obtain the best prices. Monitor market trends and consumer behavior to identify best window of opportunity_
- _ Create and implement strategies to optimize costs and efficiency, ensuring that the purchased material meet the company's quality standard and ensur_e_ the execution of the company's procurement policy_ and _compliance_ - focus on process i_mprovement and innovation._
- _ This position will also need to _have _good understanding of market environments and negotiate contract_ of supply and contract of rebate _consistent with Company control guidelines_ _maintaining strategic relationships with suppliers of but not limited to Steel, Polyethylene, PVC Compounds and other resins manufactures globally_._
- _ Evaluate supplier performance and ensure they meet contractual requirements and established quality standards_.
- _ Drives year over year savings and improves net working capital position of the company._
- _ Responsible for developing strategic sourcing plans for the negotiation, execution, and ongoing administration of agreements for raw material related commodities._
- _ Deals with situational complexity (supply chain focus, markets, risk allocation, senior level relationship, strategy development, manufacturing issues_, shortages_)_
- _ Manages performance analysis and benchmarking processes for raw material related costs in the business._
- _ Identifies, prioritizes, and communicates key issues and opportunities and is a champion for changes to provide the business a competitive cost advantage of the supply of raw material commodities._
- _ Provides expertise in the development and deployment of supply risk management strategies and Supplier quality process including and procedure management & control._
- _ Develop and use dash board reports and manage complex data base to consolidate Regional Performance and KPI indicators_

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for a professional with the following skills and motivations:

- _ Graduation on Engineering and Administration_
- _ Experience in managing Plastics commodities, and in industry environments such as Automotive, Industrial or Consumer Industries is preferred_
- _ BS or BA Undergraduate Degree in engineering required_
- _ Advanced industry and specialized market of plastics and steel commodities, with demonstrated experience in contract development and negotiations_
- _ Experience in a manufacturing environment in technical or business-related positions_
- _ Proficiency of English and Spanish_
- _ Work autonomously and collaboratively in a demanding and often ambiguous environment with attention to details and effective prioritization_
- _ Strong skills in work collaboratively and cross functionally, analytical capabilities including experience handling large and complex data sets._
- _ Knowledge on AI (Artificial Intelligence) and dashboard will be a desirable differential_
