Local Unit & Position Description: We are looking for an Accountant Analyst to our Global Shared Services office in Rio de Janeiro. **Tasks**: - General accounting activities such as bookings (of payroll, fixed asset, taxes, bank transactions, supplier’s payments, employee´s reimbursements, etc.) and accounts reconciliations. - Internal audit on employee’s reimbursement statements - General ledger and balance sheet analysis and identification of potential areas for improvement. - Intercompany transactions follow-up and reconciliation. - Preparation and delivery of management account and statutory accounts reports. - Participation in M&A activities (such as system and process integrations) as requested. - Other accounting duties and reports as assigned. - Collaboration with Operating Units to identify, prioritize, execute and document project financials, invoices & other controlling aspects. Position Qualifications: - Accounting Degree - MBA/Post Graduation will be a plus - At least 3 years of accounting experience ("Big Four" experience is a plus) - Knowledge of Accounting practices (IFRS, IAS) - Experience with SAP/Oracle (or equivalent ERP system) - Analytical and attentive to details, process improvement mindset - Ability to handle multiple projects and adhere to tight deadlines - Ability to interact effectively with internal customers and external suppliers - Self-driven with teamwork spirit and interpersonal skills, take personal responsibility on professional development - Demonstrates ownership and accountability, and embraces change - Ability to communicate in English clearly and concisely both orally and in writing - Native in Portuguese (mandatory) - Spanish communication is a plus Company & Business Area Description: DNV is the independent expert in assurance and risk management, operating in more than 100 countries.
