**About this opportunity**

To support our growth and expansion plans in LATAM, especially in Brazil, as an Accounting Analyst. The main responsibility involves the process of product cost analysis. This position will also contribute with Blackline reconciliations and other month-end activities. This position will be responsible for reviewing the detailed balance sheet and income statement of Brazil entity and certain foreign entities, providing support for US Corporate requests/demands, providing performance indicators and supporting business decisions related to the businesses. The individual will be responsible for statutory requirements (including tax).

**Key Responsibilities**:
**In this role, you will**
- Support the consistency and accuracy of month end close for Brazil and foreign entities under US GAAP.
- Must identify accounting issues and lead resolution, working with Corporate HQ, as needed.
- Prepare, review and approve account reconciliations.
- Day-to-day relationship within the areas of accounting, payroll and taxes and correlated areas.
- Support the implementation of Global Corporate Policies as well as Accounting Treatment changes and US GAAP reporting.
- Act on preparation of monthly financial statements.
- For quarterly reviews/annual audit, preparation and submission of the Balance Sheet and Income Statement Quarterly Flux analysis.
- Support Corporate providing reports, analysis and explanations.
- Take ownership of internal financial controls and compliance (including meeting SOX and International Accounting requirements).
- Support statutory reporting.
- Possess the understanding of general accounting concepts and requirements and has the ability to identify accounting issues and assist in their resolution.
- Review and update local general accounting policies and procedures, as necessary.
- Participate on finance related projects; particularly those relate to ERP/systems transitions (for example, Protheus to SAP).
- Sensitive position with regard to supply chain security or compliance with tax and customs obligations.
- Inventory Management and Stock Control - Management and reconciliation of physical and accounting inventories, valuation of inventory based on average cost, and monitoring of losses, obsolescence, and inventory turnover.
- Product Cost Analysis - Calculation of acquisition cost (including freight, taxes, and import duties), determination of total cost per item considering ancillary expenses, and monitoring of supplier price fluctuations.
- Pricing and Profit Margin - Definition of selling price based on markup, contribution margin, and market competitiveness; simulation of margin scenarios for promotions and campaigns; and profitability analysis by product, category, or sales channel.
- Support in Internal and External Audits - Assistance in internal and external audits related to costs and inventory.

**Skills, Knowledge & Expertise**:
**In this role, you’ll need**
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in accounting in multinational entities
- BS degree in accounting or equivalent experience.
- Familiarity and user experience with Protheus and/or SAP is desirable.
- Ability to written, oral and communication skills to work with management and cross-functional groups, from different countries around the globe.
- English proficiency is a must.
- Problem solver, system oriented and strong analytical skill.
- Detailed-oriented with effective organizational and time management skills.
- Ability to work with several individuals and cross-functional projects.
- Ability to work independently and be results oriented.
