Mission of the position

Provides capabilities directly associated with tactical support to gather and analyze information across sales, customer service, production/manufacturing, and warehousing to successfully project and anticipate customer demand, to establish and maintain inventory plans that meet or exceed meeting our customers' expectations in line with our financial goals and objectives.

Responsability
- Ensure day to day supply of PFR's
- Determining availability of each item and container for each order.
- Using SAP information and reports to confirm and manage availability dates for items not in stock;
- Promptly placing accurate orders for materials in accordance with ISO and other requirements;
- Expediting, performing follow up and problem solving orders;
- Working with suppliers to ensure they can meet Buckman's needs and to address any issues.
- Effective Inventory Management
- Utilizing SAP systems to maintain the orders (expedite, defer, change).
- Determining expired materials and reporting to management, on a monthly basis.
- Analysis for early detection of slow moving materials and appropriate resolution.
- Application of various analytical reports
- Conduct Annual Physical Tag Count
- Assist in various coordination activities related to the Annual Physical Tag Inventory
- Document generation Document Control Data Entry and Review
- Various recount and reconciliation activities
- Posting Results
- Maintain The Item Container Planning Database
- Periodic review of product demand and lead time.
- Establishing and maintaining safety stock levels

- Reconciliation Of External Warehouse Inventories
- Comparing month end reports provided by the warehouses with SAP warehouse perpetual inventory.
- Making adjustments after determining the cause for the error
- Communicating errors to facilitate corrective action
- Publishing accuracy information by warehouse.
- Setting and maintaining reorder points
- Reviewing slow moving and obsolete product by checking monthly inventory reports that identify lot numbers of expiring products.
- Perform periodic usuage analysis to adjust reorder points on items that are not turning and communicating changes to regional sales management.
- Creating restock orders
- Receiving shipments into the warehouses
- Reconciling toll vendor inventories monthly and making any necessary adjustments
- Daily Material Planning
- Creating or reviewing planned PO's
- Reviewing and validating the planned PO’s at the planner number level and creating actual PO’s
- Producing the Daily Open PO reports for review by Warehouse Receiving
- Alerting appropriate management when aspects of the supply chain are not meeting customer expectations.
- Miscellaneous Duties
- The following tasks as directed by the Senior Planner and/or Department manager;
- Producing a monthly management report containing results on assigned critical performance measures.
- Accounting support and special projects as needed.
- KTD interface and system testing as needed.
- Planning interface and support with Customer Service as needed to address customer orders.
- Special problem solving team assignments as required.
- Receipting direct delivery purchase orders and following up on any missing related paperwork

Minimum requirements
- Bachelor’s degree (BA/BS) from four-year college or university
- Two to four years related experience and/or training
- Inventory management vocabulary; computer skills: mainframe and PC
- APICS Certification a plus
