**Role Description**:
The **Country Accountant** his role is responsible for the accounting and reporting of IFRS and statutory numbers, preparation of local VAT/CIT filings and statistical reporting for INNIO’s Legal Entity in Brazil.

**Essential Responsibilities**:

- Lead month-end closing, validate external accounting inputs, and post in Oracle.
- Manage accounts payable/receivable and treasury.
- Coordinate statutory deliverables with local accounting firm.
- Prepare/review account reconciliations
- Prepare/review annual financial statements (local GAAP & tax).
- Prepare/collect data required for Statutory and Tax audits and lead audit completion.
- Main contact for local authorities and external auditors.
- Review balance sheet/P&L, identify risks, and communicate mitigation actions.
- Partner with in-country teams and Legal Entity Managing Director.
- Oversee general accounting activities and process improvements.
- Act as accounting lead in projects.

**Qualification Requirements**:

- Bachelor/Master’s degree in Finance/Accounting/Business or Certified Management Accountant
- 5 - 10 years of experience specifically in the accounting and tax (CIT, VAT) area at a multinational/ manufacturing/consulting company and/or audit firm
- Excellent knowledge of National and international accounting standards (IFRS, local GAAP and taxes)
- Being able to work in multi-cultural teams with offshore locations
- Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
- Flexible and works well with deadlines
- Very good communicator oral and in writing
- Fluent in English & Portuguese
- Very good Oracle/other ERP experience
- Excellent Excel skills, experienced with large sets of data
