**About You**
You will be a clear, analytical thinker who sees opportunities that others may not and build that into a clear story for decisions and actions. Hungry for impact, you will demonstrate an external focus, bringing the external world and opportunities (as seen through the research and analysis you do) to the table and connect it with business growth for customers and therefore Tate and Lyle. You will thrive in fast moving environments and be an experienced communicator for all levels of the business. Most of all, you will be excited by the challenges of working in an ambitious business
**Key responsibilities**:
- ** Create customer and consumer insights first propositions**: Brings multiple data sources and insights as a foundation to customer proposition sell ins. Develop consumer insights/sensory go to market ‘ready’ approach to include prototyping. Present insights to customers where relevant.
- ** Source of competitor intelligence**: Create a sustainable competitor intelligence system based on the Global Best Practice. To actively interrogate, share and action competitor understanding within the market. To anticipate competitor action and have supported the business in reactive/proactive plans.
- ** Identify opportunities for the future**: Design processes to create customer analyses that proactively identify growth opportunities for customers and Tate and Lyle products and NPD. Develop an Annual Strategic Research plan that will identify opportunities for the future business through addressing consumer, customer, market and industry trends, which will be targeted both for the base business and NPD opportunities.
- ** Raise capabilities and connections across the team and globally**: Collaborate with partners and Global Insights team to develop relevant training programmes and bring thought leadership into the region for and on behalf of the broader LATAM team. Proactively communicate the consumer/customer insights work in LATAM to the Global Tate and Lyle business.
**Required Knowledge, Qualifications and Experience**
**Essential to do the role**:
- 7+ years in a business analytics and insights role for an Ingredient, FMCG company or Data Insights Agency.
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects and timelines from multiple stakeholders within a complex organization.
- Demonstrated examples of leveraging business analytics to develop strategy or propositions for brands/businesses
- Experience and exposure to issues/concerns of FMCG manufacturers.
- Knowledge of leading techniques in identifying food and beverage category dynamics and translating to relevant business opportunities.
- Exceptional analytical, mathematical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills (including presentation and listening skills)
- Undergraduate degree in business, statistics, market research or marketing
