Job Description
The Solution Consultant is responsible for supporting the commercial activities at key cus‐tomer pursuits by providing specifi c solution expertise. The Solution Consultant acts as the solution expert for sales and Proposals inside the commercial organization, by assisting with defi nition of a cost-effective solution, Qualifi cation of the opportunity based on Business/technology capabilities, and clarifi cations of opportunities specifi cations. The Solution Consultant has a broad understanding of the O&G industry, and the technology re‐lated to Automation projects.
Key Responsibilities- Be the focal point in the defi ned geography for the O&G opportunities.- Participate in account planning and sales strategy focusing on new customer acquisition and existing customer expansion.- Co-operate with the sales force in promoting the solution to existing and new customers with presentations and/or demonstrations.- Advise Technology Consultants and/or sales resources on proposal generation and validation.- Assist sales at proposal presentations for executive level customers- Be the bridge between Customer and Commercial organization (Sales and pro‐posals) to develop the opportunity meeting/exceding Customer's expectations.- Define and articulate differentiators and values versus competition for the spe‐cific solution. Analyze competitive product lines, have knowledge of competitor’s strategy, further defi ne competitive differentiators.- Share insights with regional and global peers.- Focus on opportunities that support Sensia's strategy.- Understand business models, organization, and go to market strategy, leverage where appropriate- Knowledge of industry strategies.- Familiarity with outcome-based selling.- Shares industry knowledge of customers based on their key drivers at the ap‐propriate role level with new and existing customers
