- Plastics: With new technology trends, our plastic additives can be experienced in many everyday items including vinyl, blow-molding bottles, film, rigid containers, PVC plastics, siding, decks and rails, foam pipes and profile formulations, window frames and high-efficiency lubricants.
- Industrial intermediates: As the product of a reaction that is beneficial when used as a precursor chemical for another product, industrial intermediates can take on many shapes and forms. Ours are used in home comfort and appliance, building and construction, adhesives and lubricants, and more.
- Coatings: Whether it’s a water-based coating or solvent-based coating, a thin film is deposited on materials to enhance specific properties such as enhanced performance, durability, aesthetics, and sustainability.

Dow has an open role for Business Communications Manager in Dow’s Industrial Solutions business The preferred locations for this position are São Paulo, Brazil or Mexico City, Mexico.
Dow’s business communicators are strategic marketing communications practitioners with deep content and channel expertise who develop and implement promotional programs that engage current and potential customers and other relevant stakeholder audiences. The Business Communications Manager leads plan development with business marketing partners for regional areas and helps position and promote Dow products and services in support of business growth strategies and priorities. This person develops and deploys marketing communications strategies that deliver key marketing content/stories through multiple channels including digital and social media, trade media relations, paid media, literature production, video production, traditional direct communications, trade shows and experiential events. This person also leads communications efforts and strategic counsel for commercial and/or business leaders, developing and implementing messaging for geographic and/or business unit strategies.
This individual must have a strategic mindset and a “go-do” attitude. He or she must be a driver and solutions-minded, as well as a collaborative team member that works well within a global team, across multiple markets and countries and is able to organize, prioritize and execute numerous ongoing initiatives.
This position is part of the Dow Industrial Solutions (DIS) Public Affairs organization and will report to the DIS Global Communications Director.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Leads development and implementation of marketing communications plans that align with business marketing plans and employ audience-appropriate channel mixes. Leads planning process and strategic counsel for North America market areas.
- Works in close partnership with Regional Commercial Director and Marketing Director to define messaging to drive the regional strategy and growth agenda.
- Key communications focal point for growth investment projects and external global product messaging efforts.
- Develops, manages and delivers content that engages target audiences. This includes message development, writing and storytelling, video production and graphic design instruction.
- Has a heavy focus on external project implementation across channels - media, social, digital and traditional. Organizes updates, routing, proof reading and production/delivery of projects.
- Has responsibility for regional market area budgets and resource management/billing, including leading supplier selection, work and relationships.
- Supports brand management through new product/capability brand development, trademark management, thought leadership and reputation, and co-branding strategy support.
- Owns communications outcomes measurement, with strong focus on digital metrics, feeding findings and recommendations back to communications and marketing planning. Analyzes program trends and counsels marketing leaders on best practices, channel selection and other strategic insight.
- Communicates and collaborates regularly with local and global teams to ensure alignment with global/regional marketing, marketing communications, and digital priorities and to leverage and share communications materials and best practices.
