Job summary
Amazon is seeking a dynamic, high-judgement, self-motivated, and creative communications professional to join our Consumer communications PR team in Latin America, focusing on technology communications. The PR Manager will be responsible for driving PR strategy to increase awareness of our InTech team, the group that leads the enhancement and delivery of Amazon’s cutting-edge engineering to our customers in Latin America. In addition to a technology PR background, you should have experience in corporate reputation as well as crisis and issues management.

Key job responsibilities
- Drive proactive technology-forward storytelling efforts
- Develop strategy and drive execution of high-visibility executive speaking opportunities
- Create and deliver social strategy and content for InTech senior leaders, predominantly on LinkedIn, but across all relevant social platforms
- Tackle deeply technical topics and make consumable for the general public
- Develop and manage relationships with a range of top-tier media contacts, including those in the technology and business spaces
- Write and evolve messaging and talking points in a thoughtful and strategic way
- Identify and leverage data to support storytelling efforts
- Provide strategic counsel to senior business leaders and business teams
- Show extraordinarily high judgment, particularly in narrow time frames
- Successfully manage complex, fast-moving and unexpected communications challenges and be able to deal with ambiguity
- Help manage a third-party agency to support PR activities
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams such as engineering, product development, marketing and recruiting
- Experience working with executive teams on speaking opportunities
- Experience managing top-tier business and technology media relationships and a network of media contacts
- The ability to understand and work with a range of complex technical concepts
- Strong attention to detail
- Experience in writing and evolving clear messaging and plans
- Combination of in-house and agency PR experience
- Track record of developing creative, effective approaches to communications challenges
- Experience serving as spokesperson
