We have an exciting opportunity for a Software Developer in the SAP Design Usage Intelligence team. We are a new, multi-disciplinary team that operates with a startup mindset and we build the tools that deliver usage intelligence to other SAP product teams. The role will be responsible for delivering features end-to-end for the usage intelligence tool that delivers key insights out of large amounts of data.

This role is excellent for someone who has a passion for early stage innovation efforts where every team member effectively participates in clarifying requirements and contributing to feature designs with their ideas.

We are looking for engineers who want to grow their skills on the full-stack including frontend, backend and infrastructure. You don’t need to be familiar with every specific technology on our stack, neither do you need to have the same level expertise in all areas. What we are looking for is a strong foundation in some of the areas, familiarity with frameworks and best practices independent of technology stack, and passion for building scalable software in data & analytics domain.

YOUR PROFILE Role requirements
- Design, build and deliver features end-to-end, following best practices for software design
- Contribute to product integration with key SAP services and tools
- Build and manage data transfer jobs in production
- Setup CI/CD pipelines for efficient deployment models and operate the product in production
- Troubleshoot and fix issues in production in a timely manner
- Ensure product quality by contributing to automated test creation and acting as quality champion on rotation
- Participate in pilot initiatives and collaborate with other teams to help identify requirements and prototype features
- Improve monitoring & observability of our product, and build features to ensure data quality
- Collaborate with Product Management, UX design, and Data Science, proactively contribute to feature designs

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s in Computer Science or related field
- 1-3 years of experience in cloud development
- Proficient in at least one modern programming language (Java, Python, etc.)
- Strong knowledge of data structures, algorithms and principles of OO design
- Development experience including frontend, backend and database technologies (our stack includes React, Python, Django and HANA)
- Familiarity with database technologies (SQL, NoSQL or Graph)
- Strong desire and ability to learn new technologies in different parts of technology stack
- Positive team player who can work independently and collaboratively as needed
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
- Bonus: Passion for data & analytics
- Bonus: Knowledge of infrastructure and platform tools (ie. Docker, Kubernetes, Cloud Foundry)
