Sr. Data Steward

Johnson & Johnson is currently seeking a Sr. Data Steward to join our Data Business Management team. This role can be located in São Paulo-Brazil, Bogotá-Colombia or Mexico City-Mexico.

Your role as a Sr. Data Steward is crucial to our mission at Johnson & Johnson. We seek the best talent for our Centers of Excellence (CoEs) in Latin America, where you will play a pivotal part in the data and digital transformation of the region.

Main Responsibilities:

- Data life-cycle management
- Manage processes to support acquisition, integration, and distribution of data.
- Handle current data inventory, ensure appropriate usage of data, and establish metrics to measure the data quality.
- Create and update data catalogs to provide a comprehensively view of data domains.
- Data Quality
- Assess data quality requirements.
- Track and Evaluate data quality issues under a DQ CI framework: Data Quality Improvement Lifecycle.
- Manage & communicate with COE team members about data validation in place and/or in-progress.
- Determine the business impact level of data quality issues.
- Prevent and/or timely resolve problems regarding the data quality under their responsibility.
- Determine the root cause for data quality errors and make recommendations for long-term solutions (Process, People, and Technology)
- Develop process improvements to enhance overall data quality. It includes addressing the inclusion of technology solutions with IT.
- Develop and execute data cleanup events.
- Work with other CoE members and businesses to define acceptable levels of data quality.
- Design and monitor data quality scorecards.
- Data Governance
- Establish the tasks to ensure data governance from the business, operational, technical, and project points of view.
- Establish, promote, and implement data governance rules, policies, and standards.
- Identify and track key business terms.
- Identify business rules and standards definitions for the key data elements.
- Project/Product Management
- Lead in planning, executing, monitoring, and closing our data stewardship projects/products.
- Backlog / Project Scope Management
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks to the project and develop strategies to mitigate and ensure the project stays on track.
- Communication: ensure communication flows effectively between team members, stakeholders, and other relevant parties.

**Qualifications**:

- Bachelor’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, data management analysis, statistics, or a related field.
- Desirable: deep knowledge of datasets, data management practices (including tools and processes), and relevant regulatory guidelines.
- Confirmed experience with commercial data sources in the pharmaceutical industry: CRM (Veeva), Market Audits, Sales Force Effectiveness, and Digital Omnichannel strategy and execution.
- Experience interpreting and organizing large amounts of data.
- Display good research and organizational abilities.
- Strong technical skills - including Excel, SQL, Qlik Sense, Python, or Power BI
- Fluent English is mandatory.
- Fluent Portuguese or Spanish is necessary.
