SAP Project Management Specialist

The Project Management Specialist is the entry stepping stone position on the project management career path and is responsible for performing the quotidian functions in the engagement(s), project(s) and/or program(s). This role may include such project roles as Project Team Lead.

Project Management Specialist is capable of managing small projects. The Project Management Specialist is responsible for managing small Class A projects or management of project phase in larger project or set of work packages in larger project.

Responsibility for all aspects of the project over the entire life (initiate, plan, execute, control, close). Must be familiar with system scope and project objectives, as well as the role and function of each team member, to effectively coordinate the activities of the team.

**Opportunity Management**
- Coordinate activities in preparation of proposal with the virtual account team
- Assist in developing Project Scope, Project Plan, design delivery model and coordinate staffing requirements
- Understand the SAP delivery models defined in SAP Advanced Delivery Management
- Review project plans with the team to insure that all team members understand the assigned tasks and associated deliverable dates.
- Coordinate with Delivery Management, Bid Managers and other stakeholders involved in bid activities
- Position SAP delivery methodology - ASAP in the engagement

**Delivery**
- Assist the Project or Program PMO as needed by the SAP Project Manager or customer.
- Manage a sub-Project group to supervise and represent a team within a large Project or program.
- Ensure project success (budgets, schedule, quality and business value)
- Ensure proper use of methodology, tools and procedures
- Assist with project coordination, planning and management as well as early escalations
- Capture and record actual hours for all assigned project-level tasks within the project plan.
- Resolve conflicts within the project and across dependent projects between resources, schedules, budgets, and priorities.

**Work Experience**
- 0-3 years of experience as team-lead or project manager of small to medium size project
- Project coordination or administrative project management specialist functions
- English Advanced

**Functional Experience**
- Experience from package software implementation is a plus

**Managerial Experience**
- 0-3 years of experience as team-lead or project manager of small to medium size project
