The Health Specialist is a nurse or doctor who provides expertise and advice to the HSE function and to the Schlumberger Health Advisor on issues related to occupational/industrial hygiene, public health and sanitation, occupational medicine and toxicology within a defined location, country or Geomarket.
- To identify and manage health hazards in accordance with risk assessment criteria.
- To provide advice and proposals for hazard reduction and other corrective or mitigating actions.
- To organize the provision of relevant occupational health education, training and information to managers, employees and.
- contractor personnel.
- To provide appropriate health surveillance with the purpose of confirming the effectiveness of control measures and to.
- identify biological and adverse health effects.
- To organize the assessment for fitness to work of certain specific tasks and exposures while observing national and local regulations and industry guidelines.
