Director, Corporate Communications (PR, Events & Employee Engagement)
Overview
Corporate Communications Director responsible for developing and executing communication strategies and plans - Public Relations, Employee Engagement and Events - in order protect and improve the company and brand reputation among key stakeholders.
Role
- Oversees implementation of corporate strategies related to PR, external and internal communications for the Brazil Division
- Oversees execution of daily operations and management of the country corporate news bureau and corporate digital interactions (e.g., digital, social and traditional)
- Recommends internal communications and corporate messaging ideas to management team and senior staff (e.g., video, blogs, and employee engagement)
- Ability to serve as official corporate spokesperson or coach designated spokespersons managing the strategic relationships with media outlets
- Identifies and secures speaking opportunities that position Mastercard as thought/industry leaders
- Builds working corporate relationships with key stakeholders (e.g., communication departments of banks, consumer unions, merchants, media partners and community leaders)
- Manage relationships, negotiate contracts and facilitate service level agreements for all strategic alliances with communications-related vendors, spokespersons and agencies
- Supervises a group/team, ensures compliance to goal setting and performance appraisal processes, identifies and coaches talent within own team
All About You
- Solid experience in corporate communications, preferentially, in global companies.
- Strong track record and achievements in developing and executing corporate communications and employee engagement strategies and plans
- Lead multiple corporate communications crisis management (e.g., identified resources and tools, contributed to business continuity management, interacts with public policy teams)
- Experience in supervising and coaching a diverse team of talents.
- Good Writing Skills in both Portuguese and English
- English Fluency
