Summary

Rakuten Advertising is looking for a Manager of Process Automation to help grow our Process Automation team Reporting into the Director, Business Systems Analysis, this is a new role for driving long-term success and organisation of our internal automation solutions. This role will be responsible for managing a portfolio of solutions covering a variety of technologies, processes and teams, and for ensuring appropriate technical capacity to meet our objectives. As manager responsibilities will also include recruiting and developing of a team of automators spanning the globe into a centre of excellence within the division and beyond - evangelising process automation and deeply integrating into Rakuten Advertising, while also looking after team members’ needs.

**Responsibilities**:

- Collaborate with Analysis, Operations, and beyond to ensure the delivery of automation solutions
- Create predictability and understanding of team capabilities and schedules through the implementation of rigorous policies and procedures
- Mature tooling, systems and processes to ensure your automation teams’ work scales to meet the growing needs of a growing company
- Ensure timely execution through high-quality estimates and timelines, working with Systems Analysis to manage projects
- Grow the team, developing skills and competencies toward mastery
- Integrate across Rakuten Advertising to maximise the effect of automated solutions

Required Skills and Experience:

- English fluency (at least Upper-Intermediate)
- Experience managing technical teams
- Effective and persuasive communicator; ability to communicate findings and recommendations thoroughly and concisely
- Proven success in managing teams in a multi-faceted environment; ability to recruit and grow a team
- Positive attitude, detail oriented with good multitasking and organisation ability
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects and see them through to completion
- Team leadership delivering analytical or technical solutions to others in a diverse environment
- Understanding of how to improve the delivery and maintenance of technical solutions, including code hygiene, packaging, unit testing, end-user testing, deployment, monitoring, alerting
- Expertise with object-oriented programming, a leading RPA platform (such as Automation Anywhere, and including certification), or advanced data analysis development is desired
- Experience working with teams around the globe
- RPA tooling experience, including Automation Anywhere, is _not_ required, but is a plus
- Understanding of ecommerce systems and experience with online advertising is a plus
