Atividades
The future Research Scientist on Fabrication of Integrated Photonic Devices is expected to:
Establish and coordinate a solid and internationally competitive experimental research program on Fabrication of Integrated Photonic Devices;
In collaboration with CNPEM staff and researchers, contribute to the development of an open and multiuser nanofabrication center, in his/her area of expertise;
Seek and promote technological innovation that could benefit the Brazilian society by establishing partnerships with entrepreneurial and industrial sectors;
Seek research funding from international and national funding agencies, and/or the private sector;
Mentor graduate students and interns, and supervise technical staff.
**Requisitos**:
The applicant should hold a Ph.D. degree in Physics, Engineering, Materials Sciences, or related fields;
Availability to spend two years outside Brazil visiting in a scholar position in a world-renowned research group on integrated photonic devices;
Hands-on experience on nanofabrication facilities and measurements of integrated photonic devices is a must;
Working experience after the Ph.D. on experimental research with a strong record of publications in the field is desirable, but not required.
