Wabtec is searching for a creative, open-minded and technology enthusiast leader to join our innovation team at Wabtec Latin America. As Wabtec, we create and deliver unique solutions to the industry of transport, revolutionizing the way the world moves for future generations. Here, you will be challenged to collaborate with our customers and internal areas on innovation initiatives, always looking for designing unique solutions to enhance the industry sustainability, productivity, quality and safety.

Main Responsibilities
- Coordinate the innovation strategy and initiatives in the region, working with different P&L's and areas.
- lead the innovation team, prioritize initiatives and activities based on the strategy and demands.
- Manage the innovation projects portfolio, monitor objectives and relevant KPI's.
- Map opportunities with the external and internal customers, collaborate on the design and prototype of new solutions.
- Lead open innovation initiatives and strategic partnerships with startups and innovation hubs.
- Lead R&D partnerships with local Universities and Technology Centers, together with the engineering areas.
- Look for innovation external funding and incentives from government and local entities.
- Map technology trends, new discoveries and be tuned to strategic tech roadmaps.
- Drive innovation and customer-driven culture actions, intra-entrepreneurship and ideas programs.
- Drive trainings and corporative education about innovation and technology.

Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor's and/or Master's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Business or related fields.
- Proven experience in similar roles (Innovation, R&D, Engineering etc.), with experience in managing people and complex projects.
- Extremely creative and open-minded person, genuinely open to create, embrace and collaborate on new ideas.
- Strong knowledge of open innovation approaches, partnerships, and initiatives.
- Communication skills and ability to advocate and inspire people about innovation.
- Strong business acumen and ability to collaborate with diverse people and areas.
- Fluent in Portuguese and English.

- People-oriented leader and have strong leadership, management and influencing skills.
- Innovation and technology enthusiast and passionate about exploring new stuff.
- Experience with international teams and collaboration with global initiatives.
- Strong knowledge of Agile methods, Design Thinking, Complex Systems, and other related topics.
- Strong knowledge of emerging technologies, digital transformation, and industry 4.0 related topics.
- Previous experience with engineering projects and/or software development.
- Experience with industrial environment, manufacturing operations or related areas.
