Key accountabilities
- To proactively identify opportunities where automation can improve engagement and conversion and implementing changes to capture these opportunities.
- To ensure that all campaigns are sent to the maximum relevant audience through comprehensive data universe selection and segmentation.
- To identify innovative ways to segment audiences and challenge assumptions on best approach, working with the Data Strategy and Insights teams where appropriate.
- To test and proactively suggest ways in which we can optimise performance.
- To champion automation across the business and help drive adoption and influence decision
- Optimize the lead-to-customer conversion rate and increase funnel marketing efficiencies
- Create new marketing tactics leveraging content marketing, lead nurture, and other approaches to achieve specific business outcomes (qualified leads and conversions)
- Plan data selection and segmentation; identify, test, and refine segments for Ascential products and services
- Create regular reports internally, for our sales and leadership teams, to demonstrate the incremental revenue achieved through marketing efforts
- Cooperate with sales and CRM teams to ensure the accuracy of the database

Skills, experience & qualifications required
- You have 4+ years of experience in marketing automation or a related function
- Experience with marketing automation systems, CRMs, and integration of both;
- 3+ years Marketo experience (Marketo Expert Certification is highly advantageous)
- Expertise in marketing automation/setting up nurture and content flows, in addition to custom campaigns
- Expertise in list selection and processing (de-duping, managing opt-outs), campaign set-up testing, tracking/campaign analytics, and overall success management
- Experience with Salesforce desirable
- Good overall knowledge about online and offline marketing channels in B2B
- Good knowledge in marketing analytics, with experience analyzing customer and prospect data to create actionable segments and deliver results
- Account-based/database marketing experience desirable
- Previous experience in B2B/IT tech, SaaS desirable but not essential
- English language proficiency is required
- Excellent knowledge in Microsoft Office, specifically Excel
