**The Role**

As a System Administrator at Kyndryl, you’ll solve complex problems and identify potential future issues across the spectrum of platforms and services. You’ll be at the forefront of new technology and modernization, working with some of our biggest clients - which means some of the biggest in the world.

There’s never a typical day as a System Administrator at Kyndryl, because no two projects are alike. You’ll be managing systems data for clients and providing day-to-day solutions and security compliance. You’ll oversee a queue of assignments and work directly with technicians, prioritizing tickets to deliver the best solutions to our clients.

Working as a Backup and Recovery Administrator, you will: Manage and maintain backup software; Manage and maintain backup infrastructure (storage, tape library, cloud, etc); Manage and maintain defined backup policy; Manage and maintain best practices (configuration, administrative process, etc); Plan and execute backup changes; Manage and maintain capacity needed for backup execution; Manage and maintain performance indicators for backup solution; Manage and maintain proactive backup monitoring.

Required Technical and Professional Expertise
- Proven experience in managing and maintaining backup software, infrastructure (including storage, tape libraries, and cloud solutions), and defined backup policies, ensuring alignment with industry best practices
- Ability to plan and execute changes in the backup environment, proactively monitor backup operations, and manage capacity and performance indicators to ensure reliable and efficient backup execution
- Capable of handling tasks of varying complexity (low, medium, and high), including incidents, service requests, and changes, with a strong focus on timely and effective resolution
- Comfortable participating in meetings and chats of all levels of complexity, with the ability to clearly communicate technical information and collaborate with internal and external stakeholders
- Support data analysis (DA) activities related to metrics and contribute to defect prevention initiatives, demonstrating a proactive approach to continuous improvement
- Advanced English
- Experience with Backups Tools as: Commvault, IBM Spectrum Protect, IBM Spectrum Protect Plus, IBM Storage Protect, Veeam
