**About the Opportunity**

We’re seeking a great person to join us and own the full media production chain for the Extreme Hangout COP30 event: planning + shooting + editing. You will be the lead for all video/storytelling output: live sessions, interviews, behind-the-scenes, social content, campaign assets. High impact, fast turnaround, global reach via our creator/social network.

**Location: Brazil, Belem**

**Event: Extreme Hangout COP30**

**Dates: 10 November - 21 November 2025**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Develop a media production plan aligned with the event’s schedule, sessions, and storytelling goals.
- Serve as lead cameraman: set up and operate camera(s) for sessions, interviews, live-stream elements, B-roll.
- Manage audio, lighting and on-site gear to ensure production quality in challenging (outdoor/ambient) environments.
- Edit footage on-site and remotely: rough cuts for same-day publishing + polished versions for post-event use.
- Create short-form social media content (TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube Shorts) plus longer-form clips.
- Work closely with the content/creator team to align media output for sponsorships, brand partners, and campaign activations.
- Ensure all assets are correctly logged, archived, and delivered in agreed formats.
- Troubleshoot and adapt to logístical challenges on-ground (venue issues, power, weather, access).
- Maintain compliance with all venue, participant, and partner guidelines (permissions, releases, branding).
- Provide regular status updates to the team and coordinate with remote editing/support as needed.
- Capture high-quality video footage of the Extreme Hangout COP30 event, including activities, performances, and participants.
- Collaborate with the EXTREME Team to understand the video requirements and vision.
- Edit and produce engaging event videos that follow brand guidelines, tell a compelling story and capture the essence and emotion of the event.

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in video production (minimum 5 years) covering events or multi-camera setups.
- Demonstrated capability as producer/cameraman/editor (i.e., you’ve done all three roles in past projects).
- Strong technical skills: professional camera operation, audio capture, lighting in variable conditions, colour grading, motion graphics.
- Expert in editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and social video formats.
- Comfortable with tight deadlines and a dynamic, event-based production schedule.
- Excellent organisational skills: you must plan your gear, schedule, backups, timelines and deliverables.
- Strong communication skills: you’ll liaise with creators, speakers, brand partners and the media team.
- Travel-ready: ability to work full days on-site in Belém (10-21 Nov), potentially longer for prep/post-event.
- Must be adaptable to outdoor/venue production challenges (weather, power, ambient noise).
- Fluency in English required; Portuguese and/or Spanish a plus.
- Experience in filming live events and conferences.
- Personal interest in environmental sustainability is a plus.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work in a collaborative environment with the EXTREME team.
- Ability to deliver on tight deadlines and ensure the highest standards of attention to detail and quality.

**Preferred Attributes**
- Experience in climate, NGO, or live-event media production.
- Ability to build a small on-site team (assistant cameraperson, runner) if required.
- Experience creating media for social / creator-economy campaigns (given our network reach).
- Strong aesthetic sense for visual storytelling that appeals to youth, creators and global audiences.

This is an ideal role for someone who wants to work as an independent contractor on a project-by-project basis, building their portfolio and honing their craft in event video production. Please submit your resume and work samples for consideration.
