Brazil will host the 30th UN Climate Change Conference of the Parties (COP30) in Belém from 10 – 21 November 2025. COP30 will unite world leaders, organisations, and changemakers to accelerate global climate action in line with the Paris Agreement and the UN Framework Convention on Climate Change.

The EXTREME Hangout will once again be at the heart of the conversation, providing a platform for young voices, innovators, and environmental leaders to inspire, debate, and drive urgent action for a more sustainable future. This year's event is especially significant as it's the first COP to take place in the Amazon's gateway city, making our mission to inspire environmental action more crucial than ever. About this exciting volunteering opportunity

We're seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Event Support Volunteers to help us create a unique and unforgettable experience for all attendees. This is a chance to actively contribute to a high-profile event and collaborate with a friendly, dynamic team. You can choose to volunteer for the entire event or for specific days that work for you.

Duration: 10–21 November 2025

Time: To be confirmed.

Location: Parque da Residência, Belém, Brazil

Commitment: Ideally available for the full event, but flexible options possible

Training Day: 9 November 2025

Who can volunteer: Anyone over the age of 18 who wishes to participate.

We're seeking volunteers who are:

Residents of the Belém metropolitan region.

Sustainability Champions: Deeply committed to environmental protection, climate justice, and sustainable development.

Enthusiastic & Proactive: Eager to contribute, take initiative, and engage with a diverse global audience.

Adaptable & Team-Oriented: Able to thrive in a fast-paced environment and work collaboratively with fellow volunteers and staff.

Culturally Sensitive: Respectful of diverse backgrounds and perspectives.

Available in November: Ready to dedicate time and energy during the COP30 period.

Volunteering Roles

Your role will be assigned based on your skills, interests, and interview:

Meet & Greet / Registration: Welcome guests, answer questions, support with ticketing and directions.

Stage Support: Assist with speaker set-up, stage changes, and microphones.

Production Assistant: Help the video/media team with equipment, filming, and livestreams.

Workshops & Exhibitions: Support speakers, coordinate attendees, and manage session flow.

Social Media & Marketing: Capture event highlights, create content with our digital team.

General Support: Keep spaces tidy, direct attendees, and act as a positive ambassador for Extreme Hangout.
