**Tasks and Responsibilities**

Overview:
Setup the Finance function in Brazil and managing a Finance team an outsource accounting vendor.

**Financial Reporting & Analysis**:

- Assist in preparing monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
- Analyze financial data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities
- Budgeting & Forecasting:

- Support the preparation and monitoring of budgets and forecasts.
- Collaborate with business units to ensure alignment with financial goals.

**Internal Controls & Compliance**:

- Ensure adherence to financial policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
- Assist in audits by providing necessary documentation and explanations.

**Accounts Management**:

- Oversee accounts payable, receivable, and general ledger reconciliation processes.
- Work closely with outsourced accountants (if applicable) to ensure accurate financial records, and working towards setting up a finance team to replace outsourced accountants

**Process Improvement**:

- Identify opportunities to streamline and enhance financial processes.
- Implement best practices for efficiency and accuracy in reporting.

**Team Support**
- Step into the Finance Manager's role during absences or as needed.

**Preferred Experience**
- 5+ years of experience in financial management or a similar role.
- Strong knowledge of accounting standards, financial regulations, and ERP systems (SAP preferred).
- Advanced Excel skills and familiarity with financial modeling.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

**Personal Attributes**
- High level of integrity and attention to detail.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills (English and Portuguese)
- Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- Proactive and able to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.

**Education and Key certifications necessary**
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional certifications (e.g., CPA, ACCA, CMA) are preferred.
