Minimum qualifications:

- Experience in the News ecosystem and with News Publishers. Experience building pipelines, interpreting/negotiating agreements, and executing under deadlines.
- Experience managing a diverse team and developing talent.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Spanish and/or Portuguese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

- Program management skills and experience executing complex strategic and operational initiatives.
- Ability to interpret legal documents, negotiate contracts and work with attorneys to complete agreements.
- Strong understanding of the tech stacks employed by publishers to manage their enterprises.
- Distinctive problem solving and analysis skills; knowledge of multi-dimensional deal architecture.
- Ability to deal with ambiguity, solve complex problems, and scale across a large and highly distributed organization.
- Ability to establish close working relationships with key leaders internally and externally.

**About the job**:
In this role, you will manage a team of news partner managers to shape a multi-dimensional strategy to address News Partnerships' goals in LATAM. You will steer the outreach and negotiations for key news-focused products, including Google News Showcase, as well as expanding cross-Google agreements with partners in the region to address their unique needs. You will need to make critical business decisions for Google with a minimum degree of day-to-day oversight, gaining alignment and buy-in with senior internal cross-functional stakeholders.

As a key external-facing leadership role in the region, the role requires experience managing relationships with C-Level leadership of top News partners, including an understanding of the key relationships in-region that matter most for our work with News partners. You will also serve as an ambassador for Google within the news ecosystem (e.g. events, Partner Exec Summits etc.), communicating Google's perspective to external stakeholders, as well as monitoring and capturing partner sentiment and feedback.

Your knowledge of online media combined with your communication skills and analytical abilities shape how new and existing business grows. Using your influencing and relationship-building skills, you will provide Google-caliber partner service, research and market analysis. You anticipate how decisions are made, persistently explore and uncover the business needs of Google's key partners and understand how our range of product offerings can meet those needs.

Google’s Global Partnerships team powers extraordinary user experiences through partnerships that solve users’ needs, advance our partners’ goals, and further Google’s mission. Our team provides meaningful solutions — from helping publishers and developers grow their businesses through monetization solutions, to helping our long-term partners anticipate and navigate change in a way that delivers economic and reputational value. We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.

**Responsibilities**:

- Identify and prioritize target partners and map key external challenges faced by Google in the News industry in LATAM markets, and work to connect the global and regional strategy to these markets.
- Maintain effective relationships with publishers and identify new opportunities to grow their audience and business through our platforms.
- Co-lead and help execute a one-Google approach to address our key external relationship challenges in the region by supporting team members who interact at senior level with key News partners and owning relationships as needed.
- Own planning and execution of the agreed News Partnerships strategy and map business opportunities management teams.
- Manage a team of partner managers working in the market, with a focus on professional accomplishment and wellbeing.
