**Position Summary**:Prime objectives of the GAAP Accountant is timely delivery of periodic GAAP related activities, tax reporting and account reconciliations.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Prepare financial statements in accordance with Swiss Code of Obligations, German GAAP, and US GAAP (annual basis).
- Support statutory, internal, and tax audits.
- Prepare statistical returns for Germany, Switzerland, UK, and US entities.
- Manage direct and indirect tax preparation.
- Perform monthly balance sheet reconciliations and plausibility checks.
- Revenue Recognition
- Oversee fixed assets, prepayments, accruals, and general ledger activities.
- FX revaluations
- Intercompany cost centre recharges;
- Manage ICO reconciliations
- Ensure compliance with SOX procedures, maintaining documentation and evidence for key controls.
- Optimise internal processes and undertake additional duties as assign.

**Knowledge and Skills**:

- Strong understanding of accounting theory
- 3+ years accounting/finance experience; CPA a plus, but not required
- Excellent English skills, German is a plus
- Highly detail oriented and organized in work
- Ability to meet assigned deadlines
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to act and operate independently
- Ability to work cooperatively and collaboratively with all levels of employees, management, and external parties to maximize performance, creativity, problem solving, and results

**Education and Experience**:

- BA degree in Accounting/Business; plus, three to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
