Service Technician, 4 Stroke

- We are now looking for a **Service Technician (4 Stroke)**to join our **Field Service of Marine** team around the world working for a better future, and the preferred location of the position is in **Niterói, Barreto, Brazil.**

**Main responsibilities**:

- Perform overhauls and repairs on 4-stroke medium-speed engines. Interact professionally with customers during the work execution.
- Perform internal and external progress status of the assigned work.
- Assistance in creating the Service Work Reports.
- Ensure that the work is executed according to Wärtsilä QEHS guidelines and site procedures.
- Follow-up and report on the status of work orders to customers and/or internal stakeholders.
- Continuously seek solutions according to best practices.

**To be successful in this role, we expect you to have**:

- A safety-first mindset.
- A passion for developing your 4-stroke knowledge to the next level.
- A Technical degree in a relevant field (mechanics, automation, naval, or others).
- A completed or in-progress Bachelor’s degree in engineering is a plus.
- English is needed at intermediary or advanced level.
- Technical experience in reciprocating engine repair and overhaul with practical problem-solving skills.
- Experience in installation, operation, and maintenance of turbochargers, pumps, heat exchangers, fuel systems, lubrication systems, and cooling systems.
- Interact professionally and deliver solutions to customers during the work execution.
- Experience with 4-stroke engines, preferably low and medium speed.
- Experience in working with electrical systems is a plus.
