**Accounts Payable Specialist (Remote | Flexible Hours | Start ASAP)**

We’re seeking a **detail-oriented and dependable Accounts Payable Specialist** to support our finance team in managing vendor invoices and maintaining accurate financial records. This is a **remote freelance or part-time role**, perfect for someone who is **proactive, process-driven, and takes full ownership** of their work to ensure accuracy and efficiency at every step.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Record and process incoming vendor invoices with accuracy and attention to detail
- Communicate with vendors to resolve discrepancies or obtain missing information
- Follow up with internal stakeholders to collect outstanding invoices or approvals
- Maintain a clear, organized overview of all accounts payable activities
- Prepare regular A/P reports to support month-end closing and financial reviews
- Assist in VAT return preparation by ensuring all invoices are complete and correctly booked
- Support monthly expense reconciliations and actuals vs. budget analyses
- Develop and refine A/P workflows through clear and effective SOP documentation

**Requirements**:

- Proven experience in **Accounts Payable** or a **finance support role**:

- Solid understanding of **invoice processing, vendor management, and bookkeeping principles**:

- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to **work independently**, manage priorities, and meet deadlines in a remote setup
- Fluency in English
- Comfortable working with **documents or accounting data partially in Dutch** (translation tools acceptable)

**Nice to Have**
- Experience with accounting software such as **Exact Online** or **Moss**:

- Familiarity with **Belgian accounting practices**:

- Proficiency in **Dutch** (reading, writing, or understanding)
- Experience handling **international vendors and multi-currency transactions**

**Job Type**: Part-time

Pay: R$43.53 - R$65.30 per hour

Expected hours: 20 per week
