The **Legal Counsel**for APAC will play a critical role in providing legal advice and guidance across a variety of jurisdictions in the APAC region, ensuring compliance with local laws and regulations, and mitigating legal risks. This role requires a deep understanding of cross-border legal matters, corporate governance, and business operations within the APAC region.

**The Opportunity**

**Contract Review and Legal Advisory**:

- Draft, review, and negotiate various commercial and construction agreements, tender conditions, sales/services/supply agreements, partnership agreements, NDAs.
- Ensure contracts comply with local laws and company policies.

**Compliance & Regulatory**:

- Monitor changes in laws and regulations across the APAC region and ensure the company's policies and operations remain compliant. Ensure adherence to regulatory compliance programs, including anti-corruption, data protection, and competition laws.
- Provide timely and strategic legal advice on complex commercial, regulatory, and corporate matters across APAC jurisdictions.
- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, compliance issues, and best practices.

- Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, compliance issues, and best practices.

**Dispute Resolution**:

- Manage potential and ongoing disputes, including litigation, arbitration, and mediation across the APAC region.
- Collaborate with external counsel as needed.

**Corporate Governance**:

- Provide legal support for corporate governance matters, including board resolutions, shareholder agreements, and company secretarial tasks.
- Ensure compliance with local corporate laws and regulations in APAC jurisdictions.

**Training & Education**:

- Conduct legal training sessions for internal teams on topics such as compliance, contract negotiation, and regulatory updates.
- Promote awareness of legal risks and the importance of compliance across the organization.

**Cross-Functional Collaboration**:

- Partner with various departments, including Finance, Sales, Bid Management, HR, Marketing, and Operations, to provide legal guidance on business initiatives.

**The talent we want to inspire has...**
- Bachelor's degree in law (LLB or equivalent); additional qualifications (e.g., LLM) are a plus.
- Minimum 8 - 9 years of professional experience with a focus on commercial and/or construction law.
- International law firm experience is a strong advantage.
- Fluent in English and Mandarin.
