Aligning with Global and Regional Procurement regarding their initiatives and driving local adoption and deployment.
- Lead a South America CT and create a motivational and supportive work environment in which employees are challenged and trained.
- Determine and execute timely sourcing strategies following GM Policies and procedures.
- Perform strategic role in the Logistics Purchasing area performing business intelligence, Logistics cost breakdown development/assessment and dealing with strategic purchasing.
- Identify areas for continuous improvement within scope of vendor management and responsible for rolling out related change management initiatives.
- Monitor key Purchasing processes for capacity and demand, identify capacity constraints and provide analysis.
- Communication with stakeholders to understand the customers' needs and create the trust needed for early involvement in projects where external providers are needed

**Additional Job Description**

**QUALIFICATIONS**
- University degree (Business Administration, Engineering, Economy and System Analysis) or equivalent experience
- Post Graduation or MBA Required
- Fluency in English language
- Experience in Logistics Purchasing (required)
- Experience with commodities (Steel, Resins, Fuel etc) will be a plus
- Preferably experience working with Agile/Opex methodologies
- Knowledge of the economy, dynamics of inflation, labor law, exchange rates for each of the countries of South America
- International experience desired

**SKILLS**
- Ability to think strategically, synthesize complex situations and develop innovative solutions within a changing environment.
- Strong data acumen, being able to model and analyze complex data sets;
- Demonstrated competence in negotiating skills;
- Innovative mindset, capacity to think out of the box and ability to see things not as they are but as they could be;
- Experience with reporting systems and efficient data pipeline architecture.
