Title: Senior Tax / Accounting Analyst

Department: Remedy Finance

Reports to: Senior Manager, Regional Finance

Location: Macaé - Brazil
- GL Accounts analysis and reconciliation and month end close
- Tax Master data maintenance
- Responsible for manual entries made by the department, not only by processing them in the system, but also to create them and analyze them before placing officially;
- Support on questions regarding the accounting processes for internal customers;
- Responsible for accounting reconciliations;
- Support details for the consolidation of corporate balance;
- Support the local and global projects that impact the accounting department;
- Comply with local and corporate reporting and procedures deadlines;
- Payroll, CIT and VAT accounting - working closely with the Lead Accountant to ensure balance sheet control and reconciliation to tax authority statements.
- Ensuring accuracy of accruals and prepayments including regular direct contact with cost center and purchase order managers across the business.
- Prepare journal entries, reconcile financial statements and accounts, and ensure data accuracy
- Records and reports financial transactions and manages revenue, expense, asset, liability and equity accounts. Responsible for recording accounting adjustments, accruals, allocations, currency revaluations.
- Review accounting entries in ERP system and ensure all are reflected in Local Statutory books
- Closely work with outsourced accounting and tax teams
- Payroll accounting
- Tax (Credits and liabilities) accounting and reconciliation;
- Vendor withholding taxes
- Customer revenue and invoicing support;
- Customer penalties and charges reconciliation and control;
- Bank reconciliation.
- Vendor advances and reconciliation to billing sheets
- Importation costs accounting and conciliation
- Other as required

**Requirements**:

- Degree in Accounting, Economics or Business Administration
- At least 5 years of experience working in accounting and tax environments
- ERP Systems - experience with IFS is a plus
- English skills - intermediate to advance
- Basic to intermediate knowledge of Brazilian direct and indirect taxes
- Experience in the Oil & Gas industry
