The Operational Risk Manager provides full leadership and supervisory responsibility. Provides operational/service leadership and direction to team(s). Applies in-depth disciplinary knowledge through provision of value-added perspectives or advisory services. May contribute to the development of new techniques, models and plans within area of expertise. Strong communication and diplomacy skills are required. Work affects an entire area, which eventually affects the overall performance and effectiveness of the sub-function/job family. **Responsibilities**: independently asses risks and drive actions to address the root causes that persistently lead to operational risk losses by challenging both historical and proposed practices. - Governance and oversight may include (not limited to) Operations and technology risks. - Looks for ways to improve the current process and share best practices with senior leadership. - Participates in senior leadership meetings to analyze documentation and processes to ensure risks and control points are properly addressed. - Assists senior level management in gathering data and information for executive level reporting and to take ownership of specified projects and tasks. - Builds trusted internal and external customer relationships. - Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. - Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. - Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. - Ability to manage teams.**Qualifications**: - 5 years relevant experience - Excellent verbal and written communication skills - Customer focused with excellent Interpersonal skills and ability to work well in a team environment collaborating across diverse groups Strong analytical skills - Ability to anticipate problems and propose solutions - Ability to understand complex data and condense into key themes - Demonstrated understanding of operational risk and gap identification - Ability to multi-task and manage multiple projects simultaneously - Ability to present a compelling case to influence others where appropriate - Dependable, team player, versatile, self-confident, good attitude, and detailed oriented - Ability to understand complex data and condense into key themes - Advanced English required - Desirable Advance Spanish **Education**: - Bachelor’s/University degree or equivalent experience **Manage and oversee risk and controls programs for Operations & Technology units including**: - Balance Sheet Monitoring - Fraud Management - Independent Controls - Issue and CAP Management - Global Risk & Control (MCA) - Manual Processing Payments Monitoring - Operational Loss Monitoring - Policy Change Management - Record Management - Regulatory Controls - Training & Awareness - **Job Family Group**: Risk Management - **Job Family**: Operational Risk - **Time Type**: Full timeCiti is an equal opportunity and affirmative action employer.
