**About the Role**:
Uber's Litigation Team is looking for an outstanding, attorney to lead an array of complex corporate litigation, as well as counsel the business as we develop new products and open markets. This position will report to the Senior Counsel, Litigation based in São Paulo.

**What the You'll Do**:

- Run and lead strategy for a diverse range of corporate litigation matters across the country, in a multitude of practice areas (consumer protection, competition, and other general business claims, to name just a few), and at various procedural stages (from pre-litigation threats and small claims to class certification, trial/arbitrations, and appeals)
- Take a hands-on approach to all facets of litigation, including fact investigation, drafting and revising legal briefs, and negotiating and drafting settlements
- Bring legal work in-house where possible; Supervise all aspects of outside counsel relationships, including staffing, litigation strategy, budgets and invoices, compliance with outside counsel guidelines, and work product
- Craft succinct, practical legal advice to achieve ambitious business goals, including counseling the business on contracts, advertising, trade secret protection, and current/future products
- Identify, review, analyze and mitigate litigation risks
- Develop, implement, and make sure company policies and compliance efforts, including training employees on potential litigation risks
**What You'll Need**:

- A minimum of seven (7+) years of broad litigation experience in a law firm and/or in-house legal department
- License to practice law is required
- English and Spanish fluency are a plus
- Know-how and self-sufficiency to lead a case through pleadings, motion practice, complex e-discovery, dispute resolution and trial
- Exceptional legal research, writing, negotiation, and advocacy skills
- Strong interpersonal skills to work effectively at all levels of the organization
- Adhering to high ethical, moral and personal values in decision, communications, actions, and when dealing with others
- Stellar case evaluation abilities, integrity, business judgment, critical thinking, and the capacity to oversee a large portfolio of matters
- Mediation, arbitration or trial experience preferred
- Highly motivated, efficient, organized, and laser-focused on details; able to juggle multiple projects at a time in a fast paced environment
- Team player mentality, including good sense of humor and willingness to pitch in on projects no matter how big or small
- Enthusiastic about Uber
