Bachelor's degree;

Expertise in transportation contract administration, including the review, analysis, and interpretation of contract terms, service level agreements, and carrier documentation;
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to conduct risk assessments, investigate incidents, and develop data-driven recommendations;
Familiarity with transportation technologies, such as telematics, fleet management systems, and route optimization tools, and their implications for safety and compliance;
Able to speak and write English (Intermediate);
Knowledge of Excel and SQL;
Professional must be willing to travel up to 30% of time.
ATS (Amazon Transportation Services) is seeking a Transportation Safety and Compliance Manager to help develop a world class logistics process that delivers goods at the highest security and safety bar. Our team objective is to manage to excellence freight execution flowing through our transportation networks, specifically focused on transportation carrier management, development, quality and performance.
This position is responsible for developing and implementing a comprehensive safety and compliance program to support Amazon's transportation operations. This position requires expertise in transportation regulations, licensing, safety management to ensure the company's logistics network operates in a safe, secure, and compliant manner. The Safety and Compliance Manager will collaborate cross-functionally with transportation, legal, and risk management teams to mitigate safety risks, drive continuous improvement, and foster a culture of safety ownership.
Key job responsibilities
Establish and oversee the implementation of safety policies, procedures, and standards that align with applicable transportation regulations, industry best practices, and Amazon's corporate guidelines;
Maintain comprehensive knowledge of federal, state, and local transportation laws, regulations, and compliance requirements, and ensure adherence across the company's logistics network;
Review and analyze transportation-related contracts, service level agreements, and carrier documentation to identify potential safety and compliance gaps, and work with stakeholders to implement appropriate mitigation strategies;
Develop and deliver safety training programs for transportation personnel, including drivers, equipment operators, and logistics coordinators, to enhance their awareness and adoption of safe work practices;
Implement robust incident reporting, investigation, and root cause analysis processes to identify trends, recommend corrective actions, and drive continuous improvement in transportation safety performance;
Collaborate with the transportation, legal, and risk management teams to assess, monitor, and address emerging safety and compliance risks, and develop appropriate risk mitigation plans;
Manage the company's transportation-related insurance programs, including fleet safety, cargo liability;
Oversee the development and maintenance of comprehensive transportation safety and compliance documentation, including manuals, records, and regulatory reporting;
Stay informed of industry trends, technological advancements, and regulatory changes that may impact the company's transportation safety and compliance requirements, and proactively adapt the program strategy accordingly.
Able to pull large data set and convert it into knowledge to make decisions.
