Under the direction of the Country Medical Director, lead medical activities as well the MSL team ensuring high quality of execution in compliance with Ipsen SOPs and International Codes of Practice.

Also plan, organize, and implement all medical activities related to data dissemination, continuous medical education, external community engagement, data generation among others. Listen and identify medical insights to the preparation of brand and medical strategies, bringing patient voice and raising unmet medical needs.

Ensure that all activities, including promotional are scientific accurate, not misleading and compliant with local regulations under the ethical and scientific point of view.

**Main Tasks**

**Provide scientific information and support**
- Contribute to and support the clear articulation of a compelling brand strategy for Neuroscience medicines across Ipsen marketing, sales and medical functions
- Deliver lectures on scientific, clinical and technical topics spontaneously requested, ensuring appropriate approval in relevant systems
- Assist in the organisation and scientific support of key external national and regional events e.g. satellite symposia etc.
- In close co-ordination with existing medical information resources, respond professionally and quickly to documented unsolicited requests from the field and external stakeholders for clinical information and data in relation to disease specific questions about Neuroscience medicines, including pre-launch communication, on-label or off-licence use or any Ipsen’s research programmes

**Develop and maintain knowledge**
- Track and manage evolving evidence base in areas critical for the organisation. Ensure this is communicated to the appropriate Ipsen personnel
- Support Health Care Professionals (HCPs), including Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), in line with Ipsen strategy. Support HCPs by reactively (and proactively where appropriate) providing them with scientific and clinical data
- Attend appropriate scientific congresses to interact with HCPs, develop knowledge in relevant therapy areas and to produce congress summaries for dissemination to HCPs.
- Undertake regular communication of best practice and facilitation of knowledge sharing
- Assist in maintaining, improving and promoting the Medical Information and wider Medical service in line with the Franchise Strategy and Ipsen SOPs

**Provide medical brand support and MSL activities**
- Contribute to the design and execution of late clinical trials through sponsorship of local studies or support of Specialty Franchise studies as appropriate, and in line with Ipsen SOPs and International Guidelines to ensure successful completion of the trials and their publication. Where required, provide budget control and accountability of these programmes
- Provide support to MSL in their scientific liaison activities as well as coordinating medical information activities
- Identify and build relationships with National, Regional or Local KOLs and Thought Leaders
- Organise Advisory Boards within the business Strategy with the approval and support of the Medical Franchise and Country/Cluster teams
- Undertake publication planning, slide-deck development and internal training initiatives
- Assist in the development, review and approval of scientific and clinical content of relevant promotional and non-promotional materials and activities
- Provide field-based medical support to the Company's clinical research programs as required
- Gather and disseminate competitive intelligence from multiple sources.
- Provide technical / medical support to Local Regulatory Affairs as required
- Undertake other departmental tasks and provide support as required

**Compliance and governance**
- Ensure that scientific support is informed, balanced, current, and complies with the spirit and letter of EFPIA codes, National guidelines or regulatory rules and Ipsen SOPs. This includes, but is not restricted to, maintaining high professional standards of conduct, in line with Ipsen Company Standard Operating Procedures, with a duty of care to the reputation of the company
- Demonstrated capacity to build strong relationships across functions and to work closely with all people across the business

**Experience / Qualifications**

**Education**

Minimum:

- Medical graduate and/or PhD in clinical science
- An understanding of the drug development process and a good knowledge of the therapeutic area would be a strong advantage
- Knowledge of local regulatory rules and guidelines
- Fluent in English

**Experience**
- At least 3 years’ experience in the pharmaceutical industry, including Medical Affairs and KOL management
- Experience in Neuroscience area is desired
