**Contracts Analyst**

**What is the role**

The Contracts Analyst is responsible for coordinating activities and tasks related to the administrative execution of a variety of types of contracts for the purchase and sale of products in the Brazil Gas and Power Sectors. These activities include drafting standard contracts templates, drafting transaction confirmations, sending draft contracts and transaction confirmations to customers, collaboration with Commercial Advisors in contract negotiation, follow-up with customers, setting up applicable trading systems, and maintaining a data base of contract activities and contract records. Partner with Shell Energy Brazil (Gas and Power) to drive projects and improvements that support T&S imperatives of HSSE, Compliance, and Value Generation in all business functions.

And the role supports the gas and power trading and business development activities of Shell Energy Americas in Brazil and is part of the Global Contracts organization within the Shell Trading & Supply Commercial Operations organization.

As a Contracts Analyst, you will be responsible for the following duties:

- Generate standard contract templates and transaction confirmations that accurately reflect the terms of natural gas and/or power purchase and sale transactions.
- Respond to customer inquiries (both internal and external) related to contracts and transaction confirmations, as well as maintain contract related data in systems.
- Ensure the contracts database(s) are updated to reflect to accurate status of a contract and/or transaction confirmation.
- Prepare contracts approval forms and process documents for execution (manually or digitally).
- Complete set up of fully executed contracts in all applicable trading systems and contract database.
- Collaborate with Commercial, Trading, Credit, Legal, Commercial Advisors and other internal Stakeholder throughout the contracts and confirmations process.- Process requests for assignments, mergers, and name changes. Ensure all applicable systems are updated and communicate updates internally.
- Run and analyze various system reports to ensure compliance with Shell policies and other financial control measures.
- Maintain up to date contract/confirmation written processes and procedure documents and identify and suggest updates/improvements, as necessary.
- Assist in special projects and tasks as requested by Team Lead.
- Participate in regular meetings, in Portuguese and in English, with Commercial Advisors, Commercial, Trading, Credit, Legal and other various functions, and the Contracts team.

**Requirements**:
**What we need from you**
- Must have legal authorization to work in the Brazil on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Legal, Engineering, or equivalent practical working experience.
- Advanced English written and oral communication skills. Fluent in Portuguese (speaking, reading, and writing)
- Must possess a high degree of accuracy and strong attention to detail
- Ability to work under pressure, under tight deadlines and manage conflicting priorities
- Previous exposure to contracts and/or deal confirmation processes and records management
