Engineering Manager

As an Engineering Manager, you'll be at the forefront of our bank operations, leading a dynamic team of engineers in a pivotal role. Join us to drive innovation, foster technical excellence, and play a central role in shaping the future of our global banking platform.

**What you'll do**
- Lead and manage a team of engineers dedicated to delivering and maintaining our critical bank systems
- Collaborate closely with the Product Manager to define objectives and key results (OKRs) for the squad
- Drive technical delivery, including hands-on involvement in technical designs and code reviews
- Provide strong people management, mentoring, and development to the engineers on your team
- Ensure the squad's operational excellence practices contribute to an exceptional merchant experience

**You'll be great for this position if you**
- Are able to fluently communicate in English, both writing and speaking
- Proven experience in engineering leadership and people management, with a track record of successful team management
- Strong technical background, with hands-on experience in technical design and code reviews
- Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams, including Product Managers and Product Designers, to align technical efforts with business objectives
- Prior experience in building and supporting high-scale, high-throughput, and high-availability systems, delivering with co-located and remote agile teams
- Experience working in a backend-focused engineering team
