Role Overview

**We are looking for**:

- You'll be an experienced Organic Chemist to join our R&I team for the Coatis GBU of Solvay and will report to the Synthesis & Process Innovation Leader.

**We count on you for**:

- Actively participate in the development of innovative products and sustainable technologies.
- Work in collaboration and communicate effectively with different teams according to the GBU strategy.
- Plan and perform lab work related to the development of new products, new synthetic routes and continuous process improvement.
- Lead new product and process development projects from ideation feasibility to pilot scale.
- Work in collaboration with the Industrial teams to troubleshoot plant issues and support this in their activities, if required.
- Elaborate procedures and technical reports.
- Bring innovative ideas and opportunities to build the R&I portfolio.
- Technical support to elaborate patents and ensure the GBU Intellectual property assets.
- Have full commitment with Solvay HSE rules.

**You will bring**:
Education and experience
- Bachelor's degree in Chemistry or Industrial Chemistry.
- Master's degree/PhD in Chemistry is a plus.
- Good knowledge in organic synthesis.
- At least 5 years of relevant experience in organic synthesis or chemical process design (academic or industrial).
- Good knowledge of analytical techniques (GC, MS, FTIR, etc...).
- Fluency in English.
