**The Opportunity**:
Do you have senior experience as a back end developer working on highly custom solutions? Are you passionate about setting up custom (micro)service architectures? Would you be interested in gaining deeper insights into the gaming and esports space? If so, you could be a good fit for the Lead Back End Developer role at Team Liquid.

As a **Lead Back-End Develope**r**, you will play a crucial role in designing, developing, and maintaining our back-end systems and infrastructure while providing architectural and technical guidance to team members. You will have the opportunity to work on unique, engaging projects, partner with cross-functional teams, and contribute to the growth and success of Team Liquid and esports.

**What You'll Be Doing**:

- Design, develop, and implement scalable and efficient back-end solutions
- Guide team members in embracing and following back-end guidelines
- Partner with front-end developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical specifications
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices
- Plan new and refactor existing essential microservices for a sustainable future
- Conduct thorough testing and debugging of back-end systems to identify and resolve any issues or bugs
- Stay up-to-date with the latest industry trends and technologies to ensure continuous improvement and innovation

**What You'll Need**:

- 4+ years of experience working with modern back-end language with at least 2 years of experience with node js
- 1+ years of experience as a lead developer
- Experience with microservices architecture in a professional setting with a large user base
- Fluent in English
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills

**You'll Earn Bonus Points If You Have**
- Experience working with Nest js, Docker, and the blockchain/crypto space
- Experience using Kafka
- Experience using & setting up Gitlab CI/CD infrastructure
- Experience with MySQL, Mongo DB
- An interest in gaining deeper insights into the gaming and esports space
