Logistics Specialist

**DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Coordination of national and international logistic processes related to bulk materials, offshore equipment, and spare parts.
- Coordination of import and export customs clearance, including contracting air and sea freight services, verification of shipping documents, as well as delivery to NOV nominated fabrication yard and/or customer delivery location.
- Opening, control and closing of Drawback Concession Acts.
- Maintain communication with team members and internal customers regarding status, delivery dates and potential risks of supply.
- Coordinates the daily administrative duties of the Import/Export process; reconciling freight invoices, customs documentation, fielding service calls and reporting/analysis.
- Collaborate with suppliers, broker and team members to ensure all required documentation and shipping instructions have been received (i.e. document requirements, routing instructions, tariff codes, etc.) and align with purchase order or operational need.
- Ensure together with relevant internal stakeholders and Broker, that all import goods were declared into the Drawback Regime, where applicable.
- Selecting the most effective logistics provider to be used for shipments, following Company policies, and confirming that all import/export cargo moves as scheduled. TCO - Total cost ownership.
- Maintain Import and Export document files in accordance with Federal regulations and Company policy (i.e. record keeping). Identify import/export compliance risks and develop risk assessment measures.
- Cost analysis and issue of periodic performance reports (KPIs).
- Improvement and development of new procedures.
- Interface with all departments involved in the project such as, but not limited to: Procurement, Expediting, Quality Control, Planning, Tax department,
- Interface with external stakeholders involved in the project such as, but not limited to: Suppliers, Customs broker, freight forwarders, road carriers.
- Support to tender team in the preparation of bids, by contributing to define the best strategy in relation to possible logistics scenarios for effective cost competitive offers.
- Support Procurement team to qualify suppliers, negotiate commercial proposals.
- Allocate, communicate & control project schedules related to the logistics of the equipment and bulk materials.
- Read, understand & implement conditions of the Purchase Order, relative to Logistics.
- Compile & submit the necessary documentation on time.
- Attend client and project meetings & communicate actions to others for the successful completion of the project.
- Be fully familiar and fully conversant with department and company policies, procedures and processes, ensuring all work and actions undertaken are in full compliance at all times.
- Support other departments and carry out other duties as and when business requirements dictate as may be reasonably expected by the Project Manager.

**HSE SPECIFIC**

- Contribute to continuous improvement of quality and safety of our products and deliveries.
- Ensure project Risk Assessment at planning stage is carried out with the relevant people.
- Identify the potential cost and planning implications of predicted non generic HSE issues for a project and ensure that these are correctly reflected in project cost analysis and scheduling.
- Feedback to the Proposals department lessons learned from areas of HSE expenditure in a project not correctly identified at the bid stage.

**JOB SPECIFICATION**:

- Degree (or equivalent) in relevant discipline (Logistics, Supply Chain, Management, Business).
- MBA or Specialization in Logistics / supply chain is a plus
- Minimum 05 (five) years experience in logistics and projects within the oil and gas industry
- Knowledge of international oil and gas standards
- Strong background in Logistics of equipment
- Strong skills related to Brazilian special customs regimes and taxes
- Commercial awareness
- Understanding of Expediting procedures
- Computer skills: full MS office, heavy user of Excel, Oracle ERP
- Communication skills
- Ability to read and understand technical documentation.
