Bachelor degree in Law or Accounting.
- +5 years of relevant tax experience in a corporate environment, public accounting firm or major law firm.
- Experience in Brazil, with an understanding of or practical experience related to marketplace and digital businesses.
- Strong tax technical skills.
- Strong communication skills (both in written and oral) and ability to articulate complex tax laws in a business setting in Portuguese and English. Spanish is a plus.

Job summary
Amazon is looking for a proactive, high energy, take ownership Tax Analyst to provide tax advice and supporting documentation for existing businesses and new business initiatives in Brazil and LaTam.
Based in São Paulo, Brazil this position will be part of a team that works closely with business partners and provides tax guidance and written requirements to the Business in a fast-paced environment, not to mention deliver support to partners tax teams, such as compliance and audit teams.

Key job responsibilities
- Understanding of Business use cases
- Evaluation of tax scenarios for both Brazil and LatAm region.
- Defining, managing and coordinating tax requirements for expansions and existing Projects.
- Providing relevant tax guidance and working to build relationships with the business and related stakeholders.
- Assist with managing relationships with outside tax advisors and regulatory team on an ongoing basis.
- Demonstrate ability to successfully participate and contribute on high complex projects, including the ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams.
- Strong tax technical, analytical and problem solving ability.
- Has the capability to quickly understand complex concepts at the deepest levels.
- Detail-oriented individual who takes ownership of projects, is organized, possesses excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, and is able to deliver on tight deadlines. Highly motivated, hard-working, and able to work in a fast paced, informal, and often ambiguous environment.
