To ensure designated businesses receive high quality HR generalist support, The HR Manager will work closely with Senior leaders and HR leaders in supporting the business and driving the HR strategy. Key to the role is the effective daily management of transactional HR activities alongside with more strategic HR topics developing business partnering capability. The HR Manager will manage 400 employees part of Operations (around 300) and Wholesale (around 100) structures mainly located in Lisbon RX lab,assuring their performance and development within the company. He/She will work very close to the Managers to drive both performance and talent development cultures aligned with Corporate principles and values.

**Key Responsabilities of the Position include**:
Business Partnering
- Partner with leaders to identify, prioritize and build organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes.
- Develop ideas and influence the direction setting to align department with EssilorLuxottica values related to HR / people management. - Support change management enabling the growth & development of our people and business.
- Provide inputs on strategic HR direction according to business strategy.
- Implement key European HR projects, reviews, and initiatives to deliver change and improvements.
- Provide real-time insights around headcount, budget, attrition, and other actionable metrics.

HR Processes
- Annual HR process execution such as Planning recruitment needs, managing External Temporary Workers provider, Employee Performance Evaluations, Motivation Surveys to ensure employee engagement and retention, Talent Reviews to assess high potential employees, salary reviews, Operations people costs, etc.
- Monitor and facilitate Share Service activities in Portugal - Monitor Main HR KPI’s

Training & Development
- Mentor, coach, guide and provide feedback to support employee’s development and align with the future capability needs for HR.
- Evaluate the training needs of the employees and build an internal training plan according to business strategies.

Labor Relations
- Build, update and communicate all internal policies for EssilorLuxottica.
- Relationship with Employees’ representatives
- Manage and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Support rollout of compliance initiatives and provide counsel to management in regards to local employment law and legislation changes.

People Management
- Lead a team of 2 HR.
- Continuous feedback and ongoing coaching of team members.
- Have a structured communication process with the group to ensure regular communications as a team and on a one-to-one basis

**Background**:
Bachelor degree and above in Business Administration, Law or Labor Relations. HR qualification preferred.

**Languages**:
Native Portuguese

Proficient in English

Spanish is a plus
- More than 8 years of strong generalist HR experience.
- Experience working in a multinational context and industrial sector
- Portuguese Labor Law knowledge.
- Strategic thinking: Strong conceptual skill, sharp and quick thinker, flexible. Ability to define strategy.
- Organizational development, coaching, training and development, and change management.
- Ability to present complex business ideas, strategies, and results succinctly and persuasively to senior executives.
- Analytical skills
- Ability to handle multiple projects, set priorities and drive results in a fast-paced, changing environment
