**The Role**:

- What's the role?_

Asset Commercial is the discipline accountable to optimize the value of existing assets and to grow and reshape our portfolio seeking always to maximize value. Upstream Asset Commercial is also responsible for the different value chain interfaces inside the existing portfolio of assets. Asset Commercial is accountable for making sure decisions inside the portfolio of assets are taken considering the Shell’s Opportunity Realization Standards, Shell’s Decision Quality framework, the Discipline Control & Assurance Framework, the Upstream Commercial Review and Assurance Framework and Joint Venture Governance Standards.

Asset Commercial adds, protects and optimizes value for Upstream by developing Commercial strategies, providing commercial advice to the business, and developing and maintaining Commercial agreements.

The job holder will be responsible for managing all commercial aspects related to a highly complex and high value portfolio of Shell Brasil’s Producing and Development Assets.

The position works closely with the Business Opportunity Managers and General manager, providing and organizing Commercial support and advice.

Accountabilities
- Create and Design a Commercial Strategy for each of the assets in the portfolio in conjunction with the General Manager of the asset driven by value maximization.
- Recommend and support an overall Commercial strategy for Shell Assets in Brazil, including alignment with the other Asset Commercial managers;
- Actively support or conduct contracts negotiation and management of all commercial aspects related to Shell’s upstream assets in Brazil;
- Understand complex information and synthesize into specific challenges or alternatives, as well as to have a clear process for tracking and measuring such recommendations;
- Act where applicable as liaison between the Asset and NBD;
- Actively participate in the Commercial community by sharing and implementing best practices.
- Organize and actively manage Regular interactions with partners and other external stakeholders inside the context of the Operating Committee of the assets and negotiations discussions.
- Manage day to day relationship with third party partners in the relevant ventures;
- Complete analysis and review of all operating committee proposals issued or received in the JVs and make recommendations on commercial matters accordingly;
- Manage relationship and interface with, and influencing other commercial areas, NBD, midstream and downstream areas as appropriate;
- Own and implement opportunity management and assurance process for commercial initiatives of the relevant assets;
- Add value through active effective networking with key internal and external stakeholders;
- Regular interaction with other commercial managers and General managers;
- Own and manage the development of Commercial resources inside the team, including D&I initiatives positively impacting the team;
- Be an active member of the Brazil Commercial Leadership Team;
- Support and co-own HSSE leadership inside the relevant asset Management Team.

Dimensions

The Brazil DW portfolio is comprised of both Operating and Non-Operating Assets, under different phases (exploration, development, production, and decommissioning).

Business Support: Build strong relationships with key staff and management and become deeply familiar with the plans; provide direct support to regular Deepwater portfolio updates including overall ownership Investment and Negotiation proposals related to the group of assets managed.

The role requires delivery of robust agreements/projects that create and protect value for Shell’s business in Brazil, which could be quantified in terms of NPV, cashflow, production volumes, capex/opex, tax efficiencies and/or equity protection.

**Skills and Requirements**
- What we need from you?_
- Must have legal authorization to work in the US on a full-time basis for anyone other than current employer
- At least 15 years extensive experience in any two or more key areas: commercial, finance, strategy. Preferably in Upstream business.
- College/university level education with a degree in Business and/or Engineering or any related field.
- Extensive experience in asset management, negotiations, project management, stakeholder management and valuation;
- Deep petroleum contracts and agreements discipline experience and has led multiparty deals to successful conclusion.
- Significant experience in JOAs, NBD agreements, gas value chain deals and transportation agreement negotiations.
- Exceptionally strong analytical skills and drive for results;
- Extensive experience with people management and D&I;
- Ability to develop and implement structured work process in order to handle significant workload in an efficient manner;
- Strong relationship skills and the ability to build an effective network and be resilient under pressure;
- Effective in influencing sideways and upward; ability to stand ground
