Minimum qualifications:

- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience
- 3 years of experience working cross-functionally in thought leadership, project management, analysis, abuse policy, or international relations
- Ability to speak and write in English and Brazilian Portuguese fluently.

Preferred qualifications:

- Experience in public policy, government, politics, or international relations in the technology sector
- Experience simplifying and presenting complex concepts to executive stakeholders
- Understanding of the impacts geo-political/international relations and global civic issues have on global companies
- Familiarity with product abuse vectors and user policy issues

**About the job**:
Trust Risk Strategy team is responsible for orchestrating principled cross-Google strategies for the integrity of global elections, health, and other critical societal issues. Our team coordinates all of the efforts happening across the company related to civic processes, working closely with the Government Affairs, Marketing, Communications, and other teams, as well as every Product Area.
As the Associated Principal, you will focus on ensuring that users seeking to participate in free and fair democratic processes around the world are safe on our platforms and have access to timely and accurate information. You will be responsible for high-impact and high-visibility work contributing to Google's strategy for supporting major elections and other civic events around the world.

**Responsibilities**:

- Engage with business areas and intel teams to understand the major risks and threats to election integrity present on their platforms.
- Ensure operational readiness across the organization for major elections and other civic events.
- Drive thought leadership and policy innovation to tackle threats to elections around the world, such as voter suppression, misinformation, election deligitimization, and others.
- Work closely with key stakeholders across the company to provide a local lens of understanding for political/societal issues on the ground in a given country that go beyond headline narratives.
