A day in the life

Key responsibilities include:

- Lead the implementation of an innovative renewable energy strategy focused on providing solutions for Prologis customers to utilize 100% renewable electricity
- Work with Prologis stakeholders and external parties to build out and scale up the implementation of on-site solar projects as well as qualified supply in collaboration with third party providers.
- Lead the transition of electricity supply to 100% renewable by creating a customer value proposition and enrollment process for both Prologis managed and non-managed (i.e., customer managed meters) focused on financial and sustainability value.
- Collaborate on development of energy management services for customers and contribute to offer development and rollout of various new initiatives in Brasil in collaboration with Real Estate Customer Experience (RECx) teams, Global Energy Supply leader, and other constituents
- Project manage third party suppliers providing associated services in engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) of solar systems, qualified supply contract management, customer billing and administration, ongoing operations & maintenance and any other related tasks
- Manage contractual relationships and coordinate with legal, as needed, to assist with contract negotiations and to resolve programmatic needs/requirements
- Follow energy regulatory frameworks and assess the impact of potential changes on existing power contracts and new leads.
- Interface and develop strong working relationships with various regional internal and external partners to ensure the Energy and Sustainability team brings value to our real estate business
- Provide routine reporting on program KPIs and implementation, financial, and operating metrics

Preferred additional responsibilities include:

- Partner with EMS Finance and Capital Formation and varied investment banking partners to structure a take-out capital fund for Energy investments, raise capital to support deployment and stabilization of Brazil energy assets

Building blocks for success

Required:

- Bachelor's degree or higher
- 10+ years of experience in energy markets, energy trading, power contract negotiations, energy regulations, renewable development, or energy generation technologies
- Strong understanding of electricity market design, federal and state regulatory rules and issues, tariff structures, renewable energy, and environmental commodities
- Proficiency in both Spanish and English languages in verbal and written formats
- Proven ability to negotiate commercial pricing, contract terms, and other key terms
- Full knowledge and understanding of the Brasil Energy market and associated regulatory / law frameworks
- Experience building relationships and working with industry stakeholders, such as retail suppliers / load serving entities, utilities, regional power planning agencies, and renewable OEMs
- Knowledge of energy management strategies ranging from data collection and management to decarbonization solutions such as energy efficiency, renewables, and offsets.
- Demonstrated ability to innovate and get creative to develop executable projects
- A history of collaboration, problem solving and communication that drives overall team success
- Able to travel up to 25% of the time (largely to Rio de Janeiro)

Preferred:

- Proven experience in investment banking and capital raising, including deal structuring and investor engagement
