**Global Soy Strategic Sourcing & Sustainability Manager - Pet Nutrition - Campinas, Brazil**

This key position is responsible for the development and implementation of the Global Soy category sourcing strategy for materials originated from LATAM and driving sustainability initiatives to support the Sustainable in a Generation Plan for Mars Petcare. The role is a fundamental member of both LATAM Commercial Petcare Team and the Global Petcare Sourcing Team and plays a key role in defining and implementing global sourcing and sustainability strategies. This position also acts as the soy sustainability project manager in LATAM and work stream owner of category buying approach transformation and driving COGS Productivity pipelines.

**What are we looking for?**
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree
- Highly professional experience in procurement, supply chain management or relevant area
- Fluent in Portuguese & English with desirable Spanish
- Experience in Sustainable Sourcing projects and initiatives, with proven ability to develop and drive multi-functional team on the Sustainability Agenda
- Experience of leading global/ regional projects
- Comfort working in a multi-cultural environment and building relationships at all levels
- Soy Industry and Sustainable Sourcing knowledge will be an advantage - Preferred
**What would be your key responsibilities?**
- Develop and executes Mars Global Soy Sourcing Strategies when material is originated from Brazil and Argentina, regardless of the segment and importing region, using the MSSM framework and tools appropriately.
- Responsible for estimated Annual Spend of 20 USD M.
Carries out and communicate scenario planning for the longer term category buying approach to help business planning and financial risk management.
- Monitor and drive key supplier performance indicators across cost, service and quality and puts corrective activations in place and drive ongoing supply base development & optimization.
- Lead critical supply and supplier quality issues and come up with short term mitigation as well as long term continuous improvement/correction plan through cross function cooperation.
- Driving commercial governance in line with commercial manual. Specifically in area of strategy, supply selection, business allocation and contract approvals and reviews.
Establish and maintains relationship with key stakeholders to drive cross functional collaboration and gain support for long term category strategy development and execution.
- Decide and formalize supply and services contracts and ensure robust contractual terms and conditions in place.
- Lead the category buying approach transformation as well as the COGS pipelines management.
- Drive Innovation and sustainability through efficient supplier and internal stakeholder relationships.
- Lead the Soy Deforestation Action Plan implementation in LATAM, develop and deliver Mars Soy sustainable sourcing strategy to go beyond public-facing commitment year over year, through building sustainable business model & levering various external partnerships in Brazil and Argentina.
- Responsible for mapping, connecting and managing the relationship with non-governmental partners for the Soy sustainability strategy (NGOs, Civil Society Organization, Industry Peers, Sustainability Forums ).
- Responsible for assessment of local supplier capability and overall assessment of category landscape.
- Manage meetings and origin field trips to program sites, including, Mars’ senior leaders, associates, program partners and external stakeholders.
- Work with the LATAM and Global Commercial and Corporate Affairs Leaders to ensure the team receives timely updates on progress and the programs are leveraged locally in the market to drive reputation and growth.
