**Minimum qualifications**:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 8 years of experience in the Electronic Payments industry or a related area (e.g., card, direct debit, online banking, alternative payment methods).
- Experience working in a role involving discussion of agreements and financial issues.
- Ability to speak and write in English and Portuguese fluently.
**Preferred qualifications**:
- Knowledge of operating rules, regulations and key contracting terms related to payment processing in LATAM.
- Ability to manage complex business and technical requirements to evaluate new opportunities and assess impacts to cross-functional teams.
- Ability to operate with flexibility in fast-paced, constantly evolving, team environment.- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to influence and communicate internally within Google and externally as an advocate for Google with all levels of management.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to manage volume of data generated by Google's payment processing activities and help produce insights for process improvements with partners.
**About the job**:
In this role, you will develop and oversee partners that power our platform to optimize and enable a safe, compliant, and inclusive payments at global scale. You will work across Finance, Legal, Compliance, Risk, Product, Business Development, and Engineering teams to locate, develop and manage payments partnerships. Additionally, you will engage business and industry leaders to drive improvement in the payment ecosystem to ensure Google’s products have the best customer payments experiences and set new global standards in scalability and efficiency.

We build and distribute products through partnerships across a multitude of product areas, including Ads, Search & Assistant, Geo, Platforms & Ecosystems, Devices & Services, Health, Retail, Payments, Next Billion Users, and more. We collaborate across Google, ensuring a coordinated approach when engaging with our most complex and strategic partners.
**Responsibilities**:
- Be a trusted partner to Google’s product teams, consulting on payments best practices, potential partners and industry rules. Provide thought leadership to industry trends and rapidly evolving payment methods (e.g., Open Banking).
- Drive partner improvements based on scorecards, metrics and assessments, being responsible for lead Request for Information (RFI), Request for Proposal (RFP), and agreement for partner selection.
- Be the point of contact and leader for resolving complex partner escalations across different categories (e.g., financial, operational, technical, regulatory).
- Identify industry improvements and optimization opportunities and represent Google in conversations with partners, networks, issuers and acquirers to improve processing capabilities.
- Define and drive partner strategy to support industry trends and Googles’ product roadmap by working with cross-functional areas across Google to derive a holistic view of the strategy.
