Workshop Technician

TSC Subsea is a global specialist in developing advanced remotely deployed subsea NDT inspection solutions to assess the structural integrity of offshore assets.

Purpose
The purpose of the Workshop Technician role is to support both onshore and offshore operations by assembling, testing, and maintaining TSC’s subsea robotic tooling—such as the NodeScanner, MagCrawler, ARTEMIS, and other systems—while also preparing and packing equipment for inspection projects with mínimal supervision. The technician will be trained in operating and troubleshooting TSC’s Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) technologies, including ACFM, PEC, ART, and PA, and will assist in basic fault finding and repairs. Additionally, the role involves supervised fabrication of parts, gaining a solid understanding of NDE technologies, and developing mechanical, electrical, and fabrication skills to meet routine operational requirements.

**Responsibilities**:

- Ensuring readiness of TSC’s subsea robotic tooling and NDT systems required for offshore campaigns. This includes testing, fault finding, repairing, calibration and fabrication of equipment and parts, as well as ordering spares, reporting problems and improvements to engineers.
- General assembly of prototype tooling from engineering drawings, logging issues and faults and implementing fixes.
- Maintain equipment use traceability logs, packing lists verification on shipping and receiving stage, spare parts consumption
- Travel as part of a team, be self-sufficient and organized in pre-job preparation, execution and post job activities including reporting and job file completion.
- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as is reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment.
- Carry out work in accordance with the Company Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality Systems.
- Perform the assigned tasks with due diligence regarding the Integrated Management Systems of the Company.
- Eliminate waste of whatever form, suggest the use of more environmentally friendly substances and practices and contribute to the continuous improvement of the environment
- Ensure that the Safety policies and procedures are understood and adhered to so far as reasonably practicable in order to ensure a safe working environment

Requirements and qualifications
- Must be proficient in spoken and written English
- Practical experience of working with tools to assemble and disassemble mechanical and electrical systems is desirable
- Experience with the general operations of a warehouse and its staff, including handling the recording and maintaining of inventory
- Experience with the use of workshop tools including drill presses, hydraulic benders, lathe, mill, TIG welding would be beneficial (training will be provided)
- Computer skills, knowledge of Microsoft office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and 3D packages (e.g., CAD)
